From a series investigating the use of everyday, domestic objects. This work places familiar items into absurd, often surreal contexts, raising questions around the consumer ‘need’ for material possessions in a playful, often experimental way.

Very much influenced by Dutch Vanitas painting, the quiet, painterly aesthetic of these image serves to heighten the sense of the surreal, allowing the tranquillity of the still-life to be subtly undercut by the sense that all is not right.
